Sometimes, especially when the road has been long and hard, we start believing that our struggles today are all that the future will ever hold for us. Our arms tremble and shake from the holding on, our legs are tired from the incessant uphill climb and our minds have been numbed by seemingly unanswered prayers and shattered dreams.
But there is One who has not forgotten His promise of a hope and future for His children, even when we have long ago lost the ability to see it. His work in us and for us will never be stagnant or complete until the day of His return. He who knew how to hang the moon and the stars in the sky and to create life out of nothingness is even at our lowest moment working and moving to create our future. And today, that will just have to suffice.
But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish. Psalm 9:18

Love this post Kathy. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteThough this has been the hardest year of my life, I am even more convinced that our God is amazing. The desert may be dry, but we are never alone and never neglected. I will praise his name always!
